This is the Prawn dish I made with the Original Piri Piri sauce that I made in my last video. It turned out so tasty and salivating. I hope you will try too.
Cooking time 6 minutes
Serves 3 as a side dish
6 gigantic scarlet Prawns (700 grams)
For the sauce
1 tbsp Original Piri Piri Sauce
50ml Olive Oil
1 tbsp Garlic Powder
1 tsp Salt or to your taste
How to make
First prepare the Prawns.
To clean the Prawns remove the legs and tail and cut from the head deeper but only one side, don´t cut it all the way through to not to separate it. Cut also the back to take out the intestine off. If Prawns are still frozen better. Wash them very well with cold water.
After, sprinkle a few pinches of sea salt or fine salt on it and keep it aside.
To make the sauce, in a bowl add 50ml Olive Oil or water if you like less oil, or both oil and water to build the liquid consistency and 1 tbsp of garlic powder to have garlic flavor, 1 tbsp of Original Piri Piri Sauce and 1 tsp of salt or to your taste, combine very well and marinate the Prawns evenly in open part and keep them aside.
In a pan griller or a normal griller heat it well to medium high heat and put in the prawns, opened part down and let it grill around 3 to 4 minutes.
After 3 to 4 minutes turn it over and grill it other side 2 minutes with the shells down then we are done. Only takes 5 to 6 minutes. in total.
This recipe is very good, a bit sweet from the prawns and spicy, it goes well with rice and salad or grilled vegetables like onions and tomatoes.
