Shallow Pan Fried Salmon Steak & Savory Green Sauce

A dish with my twist, really amazing on flavor that you never get tired of eating. I made pan fried Salmon steak with lovely citrusy spices and to serve, green sauce, it goes really well with that refreshing and citrusy flavor. You can also serve as a main meal with salad, fries, mashed dishes, rice, bread, etc.

Cooking time 12 to 15 minutes

Serve 4

Ingredients

600grams Salmon Steak

3 tbsps Butter

3 tbsps Olive Oil

To marinate Salmon

3 tbsps Lime juice

1 tsp black Pepper

0.5 tsp Chili powder

1 tsp Paprika

2 tbsps Garlic paste

1 tsp Cumin powder

1 tsp Salt or to your taste

2 tbsps Olive Oil

To spicy green sauce

1 ripe medium Tomato

4 tbsps green Coriander

0.5 tsp Salt

2 cloves Garlic

1 long green Chili

1 Olive Oil

1 tbsp Lime Juice

How to make:

  1. Prepare 600 grams fresh Salmon Steaks.

  2. To make the marination, into a large bowl add in Pepper, Chili powder, Cumin powder, Paprika, Garlic paste, Salt, Lime juice and Olive Oil. Combine them very well. If you have sweet teeth then you can add in 2 tbsps of honey or sugar in your marination, it goes really well. After the marination is ready add in the Salmon one at a time, coat it with the mix on both sides evenly. Cover it with the lid and let it marinate for 30 minutes. For long hours, keep it in the fridge.

  1. To make the Green sauce, Into a blender put medium Tomato chopped, green Coriander, Salt, Garlic, green Chili pieces, Olive Oil and Lime Juice and blend it until fine sauce. Transfer into a bowl, and garnish with a little bit of chili powder if you like and keep it aside.

  1. After 30 minutes, heat a large pan over a medium flame, as soon as the pan is heated. Add in the 3 tbsps Olive Oil and the 3 tbsps butter, make sure the grease spreads evenly on the bottom of the Pan and the butter melts. Next add in the marinated Salmon steaks, one at a time. Fry for 30 seconds and reduce the flame to medium low and cook for 5 minutes without touching. Make sure it's not burning.

  1. After 5 minutes, flip it over and fry it another 4 minutes. After 4 minutes, flip it over and fry it for about 2 to 3 minutes turning both sides to make sure it's fried and cooked properly. In 12 minutes it cooks well but time depends on the thickness of your steak but do not overcook it.

  1. Now, the Salmon is cooked, transferring it to a serving plate that we had prepared earlier with the Salad. Enjoy with fresh vegetables salad and that spicy Green dipping sauce.
