I’m making an amazing spiced oven roasted smashed Potatoes. After knowing this tasty recipe you will love Potatoes more and one or 2 potatoes won’t be enough. It's very easy and just needs a little patience to wait for them to get cooked.
Cooking time 50 minutes
1 kg little Potatoes for Roasting
30 ml Olive Oil
0.5 tbsp Thyme
0.5 tbsp Paprika
0.5 tbsp Roasted & crushed Cumin seeds
1 tsp Salt or as per your taste
1 litre water to boil the Potatoes
How to make:
Prepare all the ingredients above:
Potatoes boil in about a litre of water with 0.5 tsp salt until it gets soft with lid on about 20 minutes on medium heat. Transfer them to a bowl and let them cool down, which makes it easy to smash them.
Smash them with a Potato masher or back of the glass by gently pushing to create the crush and break. Do it by repeating the same process for all the potatoes and placing them on a tray greased with olive oil.
To season, add in Olive Oil about 30ml, basically drop on the Potatoes, sprinkle Salt, Paprika, Roasted & crushed Cumin seeds, Dried thyme. Turn the Potatoes over and repeat the same spices to season it on the other side, besides Olive Oil and turn them over again to marinate properly.
Now it goes in the preheated oven for 15 minutes at 190cº, 375 Fahrenheit, to roast.
After 15 minutes turn them over to get a beautiful color and crispy on both sides and roast them for another 15 minutes. In 30 minutes total our amazing spiced oven roasted smashed potatoes are ready. It looks so good.
Note: If you want it to be crispier you can roast 5 to 10 minutes more. You can enjoy this with Roasted or boil meat with vegetables or just this as a snack. So delicious.
